Orbitz gets endorsement

Obviously Orbitz has gotten very popular because it is so useful, but it is constantly under attack from Travcelocity and Expedia.

Interesting commentary. With the pending IPO, it will be even more fun to see what can happen given Orbitz' new deals with other agencies outside the inner circle. The strange thing for me to understand is that every outside article on comparing prices from these online agencies doesn't show that Orbitz is a clear winner, in fact Expedia seems to win their fare share of "lowest price." Oh well, the saga xontinues. Thanks for the link, i probably would have missed it.

I think Expedia wins the overall price comparisons because of their opaque fares (a la Priceline or Hotwire) and not because of their regular searches. I am not a big fan of opaque fares, I like knowing where and on who I am going, not to mention the miles!

But you are right the saga continues.
