Orbitz gets endorsement
Obviously Orbitz has gotten very popular because it is so useful, but it is constantly under attack from Travcelocity and Expedia.
Now look here: Think tank defends Orbitz By Rachel Konrad Staff Writer, CNET News.com June 4, 2002, 6:10 PM PT http://news.com.com/2100-1017-932333.html The Cato Institute, known for its extreme free-market economic stance, releases a white paper praising the controversial online travel company. |
Interesting commentary. With the pending IPO, it will be even more fun to see what can happen given Orbitz' new deals with other agencies outside the inner circle. The strange thing for me to understand is that every outside article on comparing prices from these online agencies doesn't show that Orbitz is a clear winner, in fact Expedia seems to win their fare share of "lowest price." Oh well, the saga xontinues. Thanks for the link, i probably would have missed it.
