One-Stop Site for Hotel Rooms?

One-Stop Site for Hotel Rooms?

Hotels.com makes a big promise that isn't always kept. While it's a must-visit for travelers, other stops should be made, too

If you have the time, you should always compare prices among various sites, including the hotel's own web site (if they have one). Here are a few to try:

hotels.com
lodging.com
airlines-hotels.com
expedia.com
travelocity.com
trip.com
1800usahotels.com
hotelguide.com

I would also check back, even after you make the reservation. I have occasionally found an even lower rate at the same hotel I previously booked.

In addition to those, I have had good luck with quikbook.com in NYC, but their coverage tends towards the larger cities and higher end properties.
