BA World Traveller Plus?

Has anyone ever flown on BA's new "in-between" class, World Traveller Plus? Is it worth the extra money? From what I know, you automatically get a seat in this new class if you buy a full fare economy class ticket. Any feedback on this new product?

Flew World Traveller Plus from BOS to LHR in late October. Upgraded as part of BA's promo of the new class. I can't say I was in any condition to notice how much better it was than the older economy seating. The plane left 4 hours late so I was groggie. Might want to post this over in the BA forum.

FYI, there is no automatic upgrade to WT+ if you buy a full fare WT ticket; it is a separate booking code and is priced separately. The price of a W-fare ticket (WT+) is usually slightly higher than a full Y fare, although discounted fares may be available (check www.deckchair.com for discounted fares).

The product is significantly better than the 'economy plus' area on UA, for example, and is comparable to Virgin's premium economy product. Food is the same as in the world traveller cabin, the seating is excellent (about 38in seat pitch), and it includes a footrest and laptop power.

Overall, it's definitely worth it on longer flights, particularly if you can get a discounted fare.
