Of course security didn't get any better, nothing changed. The study was done before the government took over, and since the government has taken over, it hasn't implemented any changes yet.
So where's the surprise? d |
No surprise..
Govt takes over... same idiots doing the work... now they are just federalized |

Originally posted by Doppy: The FAA started training about 900 supervisors Monday, and they'll be taking over security in the next few months. Right now they're just contracting security out to the same private companies and employees. Of course nothing has changed; it won't until it's scheduled to. d 900 supervisors for how many gates????? FATASS couldnt fire non English speaking screaners because that wouuld leave 3000 screeners short of whats needed. The system is no better today than 9/10 (it is at least no worse) OTHER than the obvious sabatoge by the screeners who seem to pull plugs on walkthrough scanners. Bottom Line, we are screwed. We have to put up with the rubber glove brigade. We have to be hearded in lines sometimes for 2 minutes sometimes for 2 hours. We are being gropped, proded and molested and we are no better off. Security is an illusion. David copperfield could at least add smoke and mirrors. 900 supervisors, BFD, the entire system needs to be rebuitt from the ground up and that aint gonna happen http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/frown.gif |
Originally posted by Doppy: Of course nothing has changed; it won't until it's scheduled to. The FAA's TSA is both supervising and paying the people manning the security checkpoint, and they're making us pay extra money on our tickets for the privilege. Saying that the FAA is not to be held responsible for security lapses right now is like saying that a auto-shop manager is not responsible if the people he hired wrecks your car. |
