As far as Austria is concerned, I would recommend either St. Anton or (Hoch-Ober-Unter)Gurgl ski resorts. Also Neustift is quite famous here in Europe.

Muerz, thank you again for the Austrian info.
Today I noticed an excellent book: "Where to Ski and Snoboard Worldwide" The Reuters Guide edited by Chriss Gill and Dave Watts. Helpful ratings of resorts from 11 different viewpoints. The only shortcoming noticed: No detailed discussion for Chile and Argentina where we hope to go this August. |

They are probably among the best snow conditions presently in the entire world. Heavenly may work for you--especially if gambling and related activities are of interest. On the other side of Lake Tahoe Squaw Valley has a top quality hotel, no gambling. </font> |
