KIX and NRT have public showers for a nominal fee. Is there someplace in SFO that has the same thing? I am not using a fare that allows United Arrivals and I have 5 1/2 hours in SFO before I head out. Of course, there is the "day rate" option at a hotel but those rates can be higher than speding the night. Can anyone offer an idea?! Thank you squeakr Posts: 773 From: San Francisco CA Registered: Jan 2001 posted 03-01-2002 12:13 AM ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi there - community board is for FT get togethers and the like...mightr try posting in Hilton or other hotel forum for day rates at SFO |
Last fall I stopped in for a haircut at the salon in the SFO international terminal. The owner mentioned to me that she offers shower facilities; I don't remember the fee. Seemed like a good deal though.
The salon is located in the public area of the international terminal, north side main floor. It's kind of hidden on a balcony overlooking the escalators. I was in the terminal last month and she was still in business. By the way, on the south side of the international terminal in the public area is a small SFO museum that traces the history of the airport. Next door to the museum is an airplane model store. |
