How do I find all nonstop flights for a route?
I want to see all nonstops between San Diego and LGA. How do I look that up?
Tks. |
Look here: http://www.webflyer.com/ftrack/frft.htm
I could not find a NON-STOP flight, only some DIRECT flights (with 1 stop). |
Orbitz has an option to show nonstop flights only.

You're not finding non-stop flights because while you can fly non-stop between San Diego (SAN) and Newark (EWR) on Continental and non-stop between JFK and SAN on American, there don't appear to be any non-stop flights on any airline between San Diego and New York's LaGuardia (LGA).
At least, that was the result of my search. Someone with more familiarity with the market will hopefully correct me if I'm wrong, but along with the landing slots that restrict the total number of flights into LGA, isn't there also a restriction on the maximum distance a flight to or from LaGuardia can travel? |
Flights out of LGA are limited to 1500 miles, except DEN, and except on Saturday. So, an airline could fly LGA-SAN, but only on Saturdays, so that's not a good deal for airlines (low yields on Saturdays). If you've been to LGA on Saturday, you can see why the exception makes sense. It's pretty dead.
Unlike DAL (Love Field), your entire itinerary is not limited, only the flight to/from LGA. |

Thanks for the info. That OAG search was very good.
Leaving tonight for NY. |
JS (and greggwiggns) is right about the LGA range limit. Thanks for the heads-up about the DEN and Saturday exceptions.
