Flying Standby

Does anyone know how the new security requirement (Only ticket passengers allowed past security) will effect someone who wants to conduct a business meeting in the Admirals Club or other Airline Lounge or wants to leave a day early and willing to go standby.

It will certainly affect access to airline clubs when you're not travelling.

When flying standby, get the airlines to print you a standby boarding pass to get through security.

As of an FAA order issued yesterday, stand-by travel is only allowed for passengers holding a confirmed reservation for same day travel to their original destination city or one of its co-terminals.

What if you have an airline pass? I have a Friends & Family DL pass and I cannot make a reservation. I have to fly standby.

Loophole?? For the day you wish to go to the airport , buy the cheapest one-way refundable ticket that you can find. Either use it towards another ticket or apply for a refund.
