United keeps telling travelers to go to their website to check the status of their flights, yet the site doesn't have a link to the flight information section....

so here it is:

What are you talking about? The flight info checker is smack dab in the middle of the front page of the United site.

At the moment, ual.com (or united.com which redirects to ual.com) contains United's statements relating to the tragedies. There is a link on that page that will take you to the standard Web page we used to see in more innocent times:
