Two St. Regis Properties Open

On July 30, Starwood Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the 40-story, 318-room St. Regis Shanghai. The $97 million hotel features 1,000 square feet of meeting space and the brand's exclusive British-trained butler service. On the same day, Starwood opened the new St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa on the California coast between San Diego and Los Angeles. The hotel's 400 guest rooms feature high-speed Internet access, a DVD/CD player, Web TV and a 32" Sony Wega flat-screen television. The beachfront property also includes a 30,000-square-foot luxury spa, an 18-hole golf course and 30,000 square feet of meeting space equipped with audiovisual and videoconferencing services.
