Does Areflot allow smoking on the New York to Moscow flight, either direction, any class?

I know someone who regularly flies them Chicago - NY - Moscow.

They officially allow smoking on all NY - Moscow and Moscow - NY trips, any class. Moreover, for a $20 "tip," they'll let you smoke on the ORD-JFK portion of the trip as well.

More reasons for me never to step foot on Aeroflot.

So, on the one hand, you have a smoke-filled cabin. On the other, you have probably the most attractive flight attendants in the air today.

Anyway, thanks for the link to the IHT article. I had given up on IHT's website but it looks they have done a site redesign.

Perhaps the twins in Anchorage should have flown Aeroflot to their modeling convention. They could have chain smoked their merry way to China and avoided the whole air rage thing on United. Does Aeroflot have any service from the U.S. across the Pacific?

Aeroflot flies from Anchorage to Khabarovsk and Vladivostok, from L.A. to Moscow and Vladivostok, from San Fransisco to Vladivostok and from Seattle to Moscow and Vladivostok. I imagine some of these flights are across the Pacific.

I should also note that Aeroflot's site says "Flight Schedule valid through October 24th, 1998". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
