Canada 3000?
 

Is anyone familiar with the Canada 3000 airlines? How good/bad is it? Does it have any affinity program?

Flies regularly to OZ of al places. Read recently it was stepping up its Canadian operations a notch as well. Fairly prominent there already of course. Lowest prices most times, so is positioned in almost a charter price point market for this region. Hear seat pitch is pretty terrifying for a 14 hour or so flight. For OZ fliers, I do not think there is any affinity plan, but I assume there is something for Canadians?

Have a look at the Air Canada/Canadian board for several recent discussions about Canada 3000.

Canada 3000 used to be a charter airline. They have recently moved into the scheduled market in Canada to compete with Air Canada. They also fly all over the world, mostly to holiday destinations. International flights only have a single cabin, with a very tight seat picth (can be as low as 28"). All domestic flights will have a business class cabin by June. The flights are often scheduled at odd hours of the day, making for very late arrivals and early departures. But the fares are cheap.

No. They can legally go as low as 26", according to some international convention that I can't remember. Not that anyone would fit in a seat with a 26" pitch.

They are also one of the few airlines to offer stand-by fares for the day of departure. If they have empty seats, you can buy one at a very deep discount. This ensures that their planes will fly full most of the time.
