AA 757/ M80 Seats
As a newbie, I'm not too sure where to post this so I will start here. Please let me know if there is another location for this.
I am on an AA non-stop FLL-LAX 757 flight next Wednesday with a return via DFW (M80) the following Monday. Any advice on the best seats in coach-especially for the 757? I have seen several configurations with this airplane. The M80 is pretty much the same throughout but if anybody as ideas please let me know. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you! |
On American's 757, try not to get seats behind the overwing exits. They have significantly less legroom than seats in front of the exits. I don't know about MD-80s.
Does anyone know when American is going to put the new seats into their 757s? I've been extremely disappointed with the dirty old seats/dirty old interiors on the 757s I've been flying out of BOS, and have been flying UA instead. |
You might get more responses posting this on the AA board.
On the 757, if you don't mind bulkheads try and get row 9. Lotsa legroom. Note, there's no window seat (only an aisle and "middle"), since there's a full-sized exit door on either side. Which brings me to... Row 10, seats A and F, have no seat in front of them. Even more legroom. Note, though, that these seats are all classified as exit rows and (as far as I know) are blocked for elites until the day of departure, so you'll have to ask to switch at check-in. Also, there's not much overhead bin space for either of these rows, so try and board early if you can. On the Super80, obviously exit rows are your best bet--rows 20 and 21. But all of AA's MD-80s have been reconfigured for MRTC, so just about any other seat (except E--middle) is OK. ------------------ "Whether your final destination is Heaven or Hell, you still have to change planes at Dallas/Fort Worth." |
