Toronto: Train Union Station -> YYZ method

Hi!
I will take a Amtrak/VIA train to Toronto and it will stop at Union Station. (BTW, is the Union Station the one right in front of Royal York Hotel?).

Are there any easy method to get to YYZ from there? I search "GO Transit" but cannot find it.

Thanks!

GO doesn't take you to YYZ. Easiest way to get to YYZ is the airport bus and Union Station is as convenient as you can get. What you do is cross the street in front of the hotel (there's a tunnel or you can cross at street level. The YYZ airport bus leaves on the west side of the Royal York.

I'm not sure about TTC but it involves a subway ride and then a bus. There's nothing really cheap and convenient otherwise.

Use the tunnel from Union Station, as terenz described above, to go under Front Street directly to the Royal York, then turn left at
the end of the tunnel (lower level of Royal York, under the lobby), and walk to the end.
The airport buses are right outside. Give yourself at least 30 minutes to get to YYZ (longer if you are traveling in rush hour traffic--at least 45 minutes to one hour).
There are also airline limos parked at the bus loading area, if you so desire.
You can get to YYZ by subway and bus from Union Station, but this is very time consuming, as you would have to take the subway from Union to either Yorkdale or Islington bus stations, and then a bus from there--not your best option.

Since I will be having 2 check luggage, I think I gonna use direct way so airport express is great!

BTW, what about those airline limo, are they expensive?
(I fly AA)

Thanks!

Airport limos usually cost about $30 if you ask for a flat rate.

Thank you!

The bus is really the best and fastest way. I think from there, you only make one more stop (barring a traffic disaster, when they reverse the route). So its almost as fast as a taxi.
