What else to do in Myrtle Beach
 

Well the golf outing this year is set in Myrtle Beach- Four of us coming in from different directions, - Condo/Hotel is already set by another member of our party. My job is to find the food & "beverages"- What are the bars & dinner recommondations. Also which golf courses are a must?

I recommend Gilley's for steak and drinks,
there's plenty of dining/drinking spots within this outdoor complex. Personally I like to go south on HWY 17 to Murrells Inlet for seafood at Drunken Jacks' or any of the seafood restaurants in that area, and there's a bunch. Or, head HWY 17 North towards N. Myrtle Beach to Barefoot Landing, there you can find many restaurants, some with nightly entertainment.

Dining and drinking in Myrtle Beach...too many choices. For seafood, you certainly want to go to Murrells Inlet (Hwy 17 south & follow the signs). Drunken Jacks and Sara J's are good for both. Nances and The Captain's House are good for eating. In Myrtle Beach, the Sea Captain's House at 30th Ave North is very good. For ribs try Damon's. They have a nice location right on the beach. If you're more into the huge buffet thing, try the Benjamin's in Restaurant Row. It's not great food but there's plenty.

There are several bars clustered at Broadway at the Beach, including Crocodile Rocks, which is a dueling piano bar and usually fun. Broadway and Barefoot Landing are nice because you can check out another bar just by walking next door. There are also some gentlemans clubs between Broadway and Hwy 501 on Seaboard St. The best place at Barefoot Landing is the House of Blues. The food is very good and the bar is great, usually with live music. It's one of my favorites.

I don't play golf, so I can't be much help. I can tell you that the Dunes is the most exclusive and expensive and the course on the old Air Force Base is the cheapest. The people at your hotel will be able to set you up for golf. There's a list of courses at http://www.golfholiday.com/courses.html
