Dinig Programs

Hi,

I just updated Dining Page with list of dining programs. Is there any dining programs I missed?

Any suggestion/information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

What about, say, Val-Pak? They let you print out restaurant coupons. They also have a membership program.

Please proofread your copy.

Excxellent site, Dan, at a time when benefits are shrinking - especially the freebies- so it's actually more useful than ever. I do not sadly, visit enough! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

DH --

Thanx for the website! I just book marked it.

Perhaps you or some other FT knows the answer to this question?

We are members of IDINE, as we like it very much and think that it is more worth while to pay the $ 49 fee and get the cashback instead of having an airline pay the fee for us, and then get some miles.

The question is this: Can we get the 20% cash back and ALSO join an airline dining program on the same card? We know that IDINE admisinters both and we just assumed that they would not go for that. But are we wrong?

Thanx.

I'm a member of both IDine (through its predecessor Transmedia) and SkyMiles Dining. A couple of months ago I got a letter saying that the primary credit card that I had registered would be tied to SkyMiles Dining and I could register more cards (3 I think) for the discount dining program with IDine. So I don't think you would get both a discount and miles for the same restaurant visit.

I agree with peteropny that you will get credit for one program. I haven't tried since the merger but I'll keep it posted on the web page.

IMHO, iDine wouldn't allow double dipping intentionally but who knows? Some lucky guy/gal might get double dipping by SW glitch... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Great site! just one minor technical question. How did you make the website link here as Dining page?

If you're coming to San Francisco, forget the flowers. Join the free Preferred Dining Program and use your Visa card.

Offer valid through June 30, 2001.

Thanks for reminding me about the program; it has been added. Even though the program has expiration date, it seems that the promotion gets extended (with different restaurants). Do they still include AA $99 companion ticket with the package?

I don't think so. AA is a sponsor; their ad appears on the inside front cover of the 72-page Preferred Travel to San Francisco with VISA booklet.

What you are supposed to get this time around is an Avis "3 in one coupon," good for your choice of a one-car group upgrade, $15 off a weekly rental, or a free third day on a weekend rental--good at any participating U.S. location. There's also a "special" discount code specific to San Francisco rentals.
