Need help with Fiji
 

Can anyone give me some insight about a vacation in Fiji? I am planning on going with a few buddies of mine in late March. I usually like to rent a home rather than stay at one of those resort type places.

Diving, fishing and relaxing are my three goals. I would rather stay away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, but still have the ability to run to a corner store if I need something.

Fiji looked like a good place to go, but I am open to other suggestions.

The length of stay will be around 10-14 days.

I was there for 15 nights in July. We split it between the main island and plantation island. Hideaway was a great place on the main island with friendly staff and an atmosphere that creates friends between the guests (lots of beer drinking Aussies http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ).

Plantation was very good but I think Treasure and another I can't remember but you can see the isalnd from Castaway (Malolo perhaps?).

Lots of great beaches and diving/snorkeling that I would do from the outer islands.
