In case you have had this restaurant recommended to you, take heed. I recently visited this establishment and found the service and the quality to be substandard. The entire experience was dissappointing.

For example, the couple next to us uopn recieving their entrees, were rather surprised to learn that they were not entilted to eat what they had actually ordered. The waiter informed them that he had mistakenly ordered the incorrect meals for them. The waiter made them feel as if it was their fault and shamed them in front of the entire restaurant. The were asked to eat meals they did not order and to pay $100 per entree for them as well.

In short, avoid this restuarant at all cost. Unless of course you have no taste buds and have millions to throw in the street.

Are you serious? I had to look back and make sure that you weren't from, like, the other hemisphere. If diners actually stood for that behavior, they must be very spineless indeed.

I am astounded. I have had a couple of sublime dining experiences at La Grenouille which I had always considered to among the greatest French dining experiences in New York.

That conduct like this should take place in a restaurant of this stature is so unacceptable as to be incredible.

(N.B. Even these grandes dames do not charge $100 per entrée. Typically their prix fixe run in the $70 range for three or four courses, and $100 would probably cover you for three or four courses à la carte.)

Aplogies. $95 was for a 3 course Prix Fixe. Regardless, I could not believe the waiter did that to the poor mid-western folks who probably thought that was standard NY attitude.

Omni. Went to 212 tonight. Way cool. If you like "hip" places, this is one to visit.
