Royal Towers of Atlantis
 

Any opinions on this property? What about dining, pools, rooms...? Any trip reports? Are there other mega-resorts like thisa one on the Bahamas? How does the Marriott compare with this hotels?

Have not stayed overnight in the Atlantis but have visited there for a day trip on several occasions....this is one of the more beautiful resorts in the world, although you will pay dearly for it. Take the food plan before you go, about $55 pp per day, breakfast and dinner, and it will be worth it. The Marriott is in need of updating, casino is older, food doesnt compare, has little or no beach on its immediate property. Next door to the Marriott is the Radisson Cable Beach, much better all around as far as food, beach, facilities than the Marriott. There too (Radisson) take the meal plan (all inclusive). If money is no object, do the Atlantis, but Definitely choose the Radisson over Marriott(and Im a Marriott plat). Have a great vacation!

The Lucayan Resort, under construction on Grand Bahama Island, bears watching and has the potential of becoming the Bahamas' second finest large resort after the Royal Towers at Atlantis.

There is no comparison whatever between Altantis and either Marriott or Radisson Cable Beach. I agree Atlantis is one of the finest resorts in the world.

If you play a few hands of blackjack at $50 mininum you will get sent invitations to come stay at the casino rate, around $99.
