First Class Trans-Atlantic Awards
Many airlines now only offer Business Class as the top level of service on a trans-atlantic flight. I'd like to know which ones still offer First Class on an award ticket.
|
The First class trans-Atlantic offerings would include BA, AA, SQ, UA and US.
Business class only: AC, NW (soon), CO, VS. |
Add to the F award list:
LH (through UA) SR (through AA) AI (though not sure about award travel) AF (offers F, but not sure if it is available through DL or not) IB (through AA) |
Air France has three cabins, but only Business and Coach awards, and upgrades to Biz, are available through the Delta SkyMiles program. But CO as of last month still offered First Class AF awards.
Zrs70: Iberia is only a two-class carrier, to my knowledge. Other two-class airlines include SAS, sabena, Alitalia, Finnair, and Aer Lingus |
and not to forget the very high rated 'Grand Class' of Austrian Airlines (StarAlliance member, offering 'only' two classes).
|
No, Iberia does offer first class. But, true, who cares...
|
[*] Iberia has just "upgraded" their FC product to a First Suite.
[*] SR's First Class seats are available through the US Airways mile program (as well as US's own FC). [This message has been edited by geo1004 (edited 11-21-2000).] |
Don't forget the first class awards from Aeroflot Bonus... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

Air New Zealand (Los Angeles to Frankfurt or London only, though)
