By pure coincidence, I qualified for top status by both miles and segments on the same flight, for both UAL and AS. Weird.

Will likely make UA Premier Exec this year. Will likely not make Starwood Platinum this year. Still has a Hilton Silver VIP card that expires 2099!

AS MVP - I'm about 5,500 miles short of Gold for first time. 6:45 am 10/14 SEA-MSP-EWR and back will get me very close but I'll make Gold with no problem at least two more trips to OAK/SNA and one to ORD. Then I'll start with NWA.

HHonors Gold (exp 4/2002) - First time this year. 18 stays.

Starwood - Comped Gold, 0 stays. Not many Starwood properties near my travels.

The Original Pioneer Square Pizza - Got my card punched for the 10th time - One slice & a medium drink here I come baby!

TWA Elite 1- approx 36,000 miles YTD. Have STL-BWI, STL-SJC and STL-CDG coming up to get over 50,000 and requalify, either on points or $.

BTW, TWA no longer gives threshold bonus miles.

Requalified as Premier Executive by June. Will have 89K by end of this month, and one trans-Pacific round trip tentatively scheduled for December, so should make 1K this year.

I wonder whether they'll give the six SWs for folks who qualify in December 2000? And then another six in Feb 2001? That would be "way cool"

Made CP Executive Platinum for next year at the end of Sept which means I'll get AC SuperElite as CP FF program will disappear on Dec 31. I am currently at 102K Q miles. I'll most likely not make Starwood Platinum unless a miracle happens such as Starwood decide to comping me to that level next year.

AA - EXP already 112,000
Starwood - Plat already 36 stays
Holiday Inn - Plat already 66 nights
AA lifetime miles should be around 1.8 million by end of year. Goal for next year is 2.0 million.

SNA_FLYER: I don't think you need to do a mileage run for Plat. I think that AA only downgrades one level at a time, so Plat for you without a mileage run.

Looks like I'll make ExPlat on AA this year, but just barely. Thinking about a mileage run for week of Dec. 26 just to make sure.

Delta comped me to Silver Medalion earlier this year, but I won't actually make it; only 19K. Oh well.

In hotels, just made Marriott Silver last week. SP Gold, not sure if they'll keep me on or not...they comped me in the first place, and if they counted days not stays, I'd probably be in for sure. A few more Starwood stays and we'll see if we get there.

1K won't be a problem: I'm currently at 99,783 on United, and had 2,000 more scheduled. But quadruple miles were so attractive I added another 12,000 miles, so I should end up with something around 115,000 for the year.

No elite status in hotel programs - their rates are too high for my wallet. But I still got lots of Hilton points this year from Mileage Plus Nights; too bad they don't count!

I just re-qualified for AA EXPlat
122,000
One Million Miler and of course lifetime Gold status
I wanted to relax a bit before I take AA's MIA-Toronto- Kong Kong 1/2 price award, but with the TTBNS and 2k on line booking bonus...its hard not to travel.
Bottom line AA EXPLAT One MillIon Miles
Hyatt-Gold
Bass HI-Gold
Delta/CO/USAIR- 75K COMBINED
90% business
Next yr goal- requalify of EXPLAT 2002

This is my first post to a forum here. I will make my first elite level ever for airline travel on November 8. I got my husband there last week.
America West will be Silver level. reached through West Coast promotion. 14 segments
Delta-2 segments.
Hilton Gold for 2 years now, good until 4/01-not sure for next year. 10 stays so far.
Marriott Silver Level for getting charge card-2 stays so far. expired 9/00, haven't received new card yet so I don't know the level.
Starwood Gold for charge card-2 stays so far, one more next month-will pay for level if offered. good til 5/01

It will be interesting to see if we are treated any differently on Am West now. Most all travel was for business reasons.

With the Altbier and a trip to Tampa return on December 31 will end the year with 51599 on NW.
Thanks to FT took the advice and combined most flights on NW (only 3 other airlines flown this year) and took imaginative routings to get to Gold for $2200. About 10% more than if I'd taken the cheapest flight available which generally had been my # 1 criteria for a trip.

welcome to the board as an active poster sharptalk - and I admire your self-discipline for having resisted to poste since your registration date this summer. And I just learned from your homepage that there are also other knives on this world than 'our' swiss army knives (which = the swiss army knives, by the way, would be way to costly for our army ).
