I flew Reeve quite a bit in the early '90s to Dutch Harbor. It has its charm--earplugs and
peanut butter crackers in the carry alls in the seats in front of you. The unexpected stops to Cold Bay were also fun. The guy that exposed himself to myself and another female passenger on a flight that lasted 45 minutes longer than it should have was more than memorable. Bering Air, Reeve, PenAir and Cape Symthe Air are just a few of the regional airlines of Alaska that provide critical services to villages, but don't expect heated peanuts!

Thanks for the additional information. It's cool to hear some first hand tales. I am moving to Anchorage in a few weeks, and I hope I have the time and money to fly some of these smaller airlines to some of the "way out there" destinations! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I have also flown them to Dutch Harbor (1992)and thought they were a great ride.

Considerably more legroom than any other airline on the planet!

I've flown Reeve to Adak from Anchorage via Cold Bay and then back to Anchorage via Shemia (sp?). I enjoyed them probably because I was a long way from home and it was a pretty cool trip. The best part was the arrival at Shemia without seeing land until hitting ground and then being escorted to a windowless room while the plane was refueled.
