This is the worst article I've read in some time. Bad, bad, bad. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif The guy certainly could have been edited for length on this one. He seems to ramble on without making a point. The column certainly lacks any redeeming value. Maybe you're mistaking Salon for CNN. Maybe you don't know what magazine feature writing is. But it's not a "news" piece, and if you look back at his archive of columns, you'll see some fantastic travel writing. National Geographic and other monthly mags certainly think so, too.
