Holiday Inn select no upgrades.
Hello, I have posted the similar in BassHotel thread, but afraid that no one will look at it.
I am in Strongville,OH's Holiday Inn Select and I am very curious about the non-suite Holiday Inn Select here, I thought Holiday Inn Select is the better Holiday Inns how come they do not have suites?? Is this normal, or was there some consipricies here against Elite member. |
The answer is that it doesn't matter if they have suites or not... HOLIDAY/BASS wouldn't know an upgrade if you drew them a map. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
I fired them this year after 100+ stays in the last 12 months. One upgrade...and don't get me started on not being able to redeem free nights. I think they must be paying Randy off. I can't figure out why he thinks their rewards are tops. I guess he doesn't stay with them... |
Here's a link to the other Bass thread!
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum58/HTML/000082.html Well I know that Randy stayed, seemingly quite happily, at the NY Intercontinental for the Freddie Awards several months ago! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif BTW- I actually much prefer their beer! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif But they're giving that up I understand, since there is apparently more money to be made in the lodging business and they want to concentrate all efforts there! |
Oh, Cigarman, you're going to hate me...
I've been a Priority Club member a bit more than a year, when I had one stay in DC (all my favorite hotels were FULL). Early this summer, I stayed at a Holiday Inn in Maine on a Holideals rate (less than $50, as I recall). When I checked in, the desk clerk upgraded me to a suite, and she said it was because of my membership. I wasn't going to argue, but it sure seemed odd to me. It made me think better of the chain, too, since it's usually among my last choices. Please don't yell at me. [This message has been edited by Kitty Hawk (edited 09-19-2000).] |
I wrote an email to PriorityClub about this non-suite thing. Waiting for an answer back. Meantime, I have no choice but to stay at Holiday Inns in most of the year. Though I can change it if I want, but holiday inn is my company's "preferred" hotel, just like AA their Preferred Airline http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Kitty Hawk...first the steak and now this...this... I believe you now owe me a beer! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
Afang, Calm down. Today, You're all worked up about priority luggage tags, headsets, no suites. The reality of your situation is: that Holiday only answers one out of every 5 e-mails. (at least when I send them). So don't hold your breath. You didn't pay for a suite...you want them to build you one? Today? By email? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/confused.gif |
Cigarman:
I'll go as far as TWO beers to keep you from despising me. And if it's in a President's Club, I'll stand you as many beers as you like! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
