Priceline help please?

Hi,
I had posted here before and everyone was so helpful so I thought maybe you all could help again.
This link http://www.priceline.com/travel/airl...sp?FREE=deals2
is another priceline.com 50 dollar off deal, I am looking at it but I don't see any way to specify times when you want to fly, just dates. I tried calling priceline.com but I can't get to anyone without a order number, and I haven't placed a order yet. Does anyone know if it is possible to specify times, or ways to cancel the ticket if the times are just crazy?
thanks again,
Daniel

Welcome to the downside of Priceline.

There isn't (or at least i haven't found it) a way to specify times and once you've made your bid... you're stuck with it. Due to this, I suggest thinking carefully about how much having no idea what your travel plans will be is worth saving and bid accordingly. You might want to try imandi.com. I haven't used it but have heard you can specify times.

All this being said, I used priceline to go to a wedding in June and it gave great price and great service. Plus it was my only operational upgrade ever so United, at least, does not treat priceline customers differently (still no miles though).

FlyerTalker Sheryl runs a helpful Priceline board at

and reading the posts there may help you get closer to what you want.

Good luck.

Checking that out now, thanks alot, seems the 50 off would be really helpful but since it's only a 2 day trip could prove very difficult. Any opinions on lowestfare.com? They seem to have a round trip for what they are quoting as 145 Philly to Ft. Lauderdale over US Air.

Check out http://www.valueconsumer.com/Results...=PriceLine.com

There 1 airline and 1 hotel free credit offers which expire 12/31/00

If you're thinking about using Priceline you'll want to check out http://www.hotwire.com also. This service is similar in that you can't specify exact time or airline, but unlike Priceline this will give you the fare you'll pay before purchasing.

Thanks again for all the suggestions, I'll check them out today.

Based on your question about flight times, it appears that you have not fully reviewed Priceline's website. I cannot stress enough the importance of doing so before using Priceline. The majority of the complaints I see about Priceline is for the mere fact that the person didn't read the rules. They're tedious, but a must read if you are going to use Priceline.

Well I did read them but I didn't know if there was some other thing that I might be missing since you folks were so much more experienced than I in this area. I did end up getting tickets through US Air at lowestfare.com for a great price and times are actually what I need.
