Ever found a good dining-for-miles restaurant?

I thought it could be useful to start a list of the restaurants in these programs that are worth dining at so that when we're away from home we might seek them out. (Of course, good restaurants have a knack for dropping out of the programs, so who knows if this will be of any use.)

The two good ones I know of probably won't be too useful to many on this board. Anyone make visits to Bishop Ranch and Hacienda Business Park? Anyway they are ...

Basil Leaf Cafe, Hartz Ave., Danville, CA
Good pastas in a comfortable setting.

Cafe Caruso, 500 Bollinger Canyon, San Ramon, CA
Lots of pastas; friendly, attentive staff.

Santa Fe Grill in Berkeley isn't bad either.

BTW, I didn't make this airline specific as I'm under the impression these programs are all administered by the same company and include the same restaurants. Please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Maharani, 1122 Post St., San Francisco, CA
Wonderful Indian food, friendly staff.

Picanha, 269 E. Palm Ave., Burbank, CA
Brazilian Churrascaria, carnivore-friendly prix fixe dining. You sit, they bring food (same basic concept as dim sum carts, except it's all meat). Also, they have an outstanding salad bar (included with dinner).

There are several Rosti's around the LA area--we order pizza from them once in a while. They're on the AA dining list.

In Amarillo, and a number of other Texas cities, Harringtons. I had a very nice prime rib there.

In Chicago, Evanston actually, there is a fine vegan restaurant on the list. I believe the name is Blind Faith Cafe. It is on Dempster.

If you use United Mileage Plus, there are loads of restaurants that participate. My fav's in Long Beach are Malvasia and Allegria.

NWA & Delta programs:
PHOENIX/SCOTTSDALE-
1-Eddie Matney's
2-Roxsand
3-Cafe Terra Cotta(alsoTucson)
CHICAGO -DOWNTOWN
1-Rivers

A Signature Corp rep explained to me that they loan $ to the restaurants when the program starts. Many restaurants want out as soon as they have paid back their loan, thus explaining the turnover.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've marked them all in my little book.

The Bistro Du Coin, near Dupont Circle in D.C. was good. The duck was nicely done (not over cooked). The specialty is mussels, but I haven't tried them.
