Marriott Worldwide Awards

I recently purchased 3 Marriott Worldwide Award certificates good for virtually any Marriott or Renaissance location. I was hoping to use them for connecting cities on our honeymoon to the South Pacific. Question is: they expire 3/01 and our honeymoon is not until 5/01. Does anyone have experience with getting extensions on these awards? And are there any hidden agendas I should be concerned with in redeeming?
