Royal Nepal's disdain for its pax
Nepal, the Times of India newspaper said recently, is a land where one can feel "suspended in time and space."
Unfortunately, that is also how Royal Nepal Airlines has been making its passengers feel on their way in and out of the Himalayan kingdom.

It is interesting that the article says that it has only 3 planes.... When I was in Katmandu, I remember seeing more than 3 Royal Nepal planes at Katmandu airport.
In fact, if you look at their route map, I have no idea how they could do this with 3 planes.

The only thing that I can think of is that it is refering to Domestic routes... then again, flights to Delhi are international.

Yes Steve, but just because the map says they fly there, does not mean that they actually fly there. I tried to purchase tickets from Shanghai to Nepal a few months ago and Royal Nepal insisted that I fly from Hong Kong. When I tried to purchase through HKG, they recommended I fly from Shanghai. By now, I understood that their own employees do not know where they go. Travelocity listed Shanghai - Katmandhu, but of course, I could not get confirmation.
So what did I do - What any sane traveller would do, I flew to Manila direct from Xiamen instead.
