Recommendation for reasonable intl airfare
US Folks,
Need help to locate travel agents who can quote a reasonable air fare from Urbana Champaign IL to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Travel date to Dec 17th 2000 and back Jan 13th 2001. Tried some online systems with fares USD798 on ANA, USD880 on KE but when tried to check availability, NONE. Appreciate help here. Thanks
ps: may also leave fron either IND, ORD, or STL.

I've found that traditional travel agents, who specialize in Asian travel can usually find better fares than internet rates. Case in point: We're planning a trip to Beijing in two months. Internet fares, as well as calling the airlines directly netting a $800 fare.
Going to an agency resulted in a $600 fare. If your town does not have a ChinaTowm/JapanTown area, where they might be more competitive, you might consider driving up to Chicago to shop for fares
