Getting Bumped, Contract of Carriage, etc.
Ever been bumped from a flight?
Ever wondered what your options were when your flight is delayed? Ever wanted to know just how much luggage you really could check? The 'Rules of the Air' (see link below) provides concise, plain English explanations to these questions and dozens of other topics which the airlines detail in the Contract of Carriage which accompanies each airline ticket purchase. Terry Trippler, the foremost authority on airline carriage rules, provides concise explanations to all of the most common questions and concerns surrounding air travel. Simple English explanations and examples are provided as well as excerpts from each airline's contract. http://www.onetravel.com/rules/rules.cfm cali |
Some of the materials on onetravel.com rules of the air are out of date. The C of C in effect at the time of ticket purchase determines your rights and the airlines obligations.
As a ticket holder on a US airline you have a right to receive a complete up to date copy of the Contract of Carriage, don't be afraid to call and ask for your copy! Making sense of the document is, of course, without extensive legal education, another thing. |
