USA Today. Inflight magazine. Historical novel. In that order.

Tino, was mightily amused by your response...

It brought back a humorous memory of my first domestic USA flight ( on NWA from LGA - LAX via MEM ) - a very long time ago. At LGA I bought a copy of Playboy magazine, and read it cover to cover... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif

As I finished it, I had a sudden thought - I couldn't recall the pics. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif And still don't... but I do recall the article - about the Menendez Brothers.

BTW Guys, forgive me - it really was a time of firsts - my first domestic US flight, my first (and last time) reading Playboy ! I was only 23 or so !! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Nowadays hopefully the First Class menu
as well as :
USA Today
The Economist - who I used to work for...
Financial Times if possible
Business Traveler also if possible
Local Papers, by the cart load !!
English, followed by Dutch then Portuguese

Good Detective book - Jonathan or Fay Kellerman/Patricia Cornwell
I have a problem with reading books - I have read so many, that i can now get halfway through something I've read previously before I realise I've read it previously -
a misspent youth !! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

... well ... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif ... when Gisela's parents did send her away (from me), for a whole year, to England (Exeter), she was only 17 then (me 23), as a gift she gave me a full years subscription to the Playboy (whenever you see her at a Flyertalk-get-together, don't be shy and ask her).

While in college I Danielle a gift subscription to Playboy magazine. She liked the articles (so she says). http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif

I'm with Kitty Hawk. I drag accumulated Sunday New York Times Book Review and Magazines onboard. I used to leave the Magazine in the seat pocket. Then Delta started carrying bound Times Magazines in the magazine rack. Coincidence?

I used to love it when I found Architectural Digest in the USairways magazine rack. No longer.

Definitely keep the reading light unless the flight is long and I want to fall asleep http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

i try to read as many bottle labels as possible. one of my pet hates is the smell of cheap newsprint, which when combined with a seatmate who can't fold a newspaper ... not a good situation. as for choice of magazines.. depends what you can get in english at the time !

If I know in advance I'm going trans-continental, I start saving and take with me the latest issues of the LA Times Calendar section.

Well, I usually start with Buzz, then read General Travel, then Omni, then ........

OH--you meant "on board" airplanes, not "on" this "board". I misunderstood.

Preferably a magazine I like, such as CN Traveler, Travel Holiday, Travel&Leisure, Wired, Time, Etc. But frequently legal-related reading to keep up on current hot topics. Unfortunately, we suffer from information explosion, which creates more and more stuff for me to read to stay current on more and more topics.
