Espresso Service Aloft

Does anyone know of an airline other than SR that has real espresso machines (in F) in the aircraft and serves all manner of espresso beverages?

Alitalia (in first)

Cathay Pacific was making noise some years ago claiming to do the same but I have not seen it offered.

Continental 777 have espresso and capucchino (sp?) in Business First.

Tute84, in the CO 777s, is there an actual steam espresso machine? Several airlines serve coffee drinks from powdered mixes.

US Airways new A-330's have machines for Envoy Class and First Class.

According to a brochure Rudi gave me to prepare for my upcoming trip on SR, in addition to having espresso machines they also have draft beer in the summer http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

SR has beer in the winter, too -- they come down the aisle with a very small keg (maybe 10 liters, my guess) -- just has this in February.

As for expresso -- anything that can reduce the amount of hot liquid passed over me I'm in favor of (and an express cup is smaller than a coffee cup).

The 777s have actual espresso machines. If they (Continental) used a mix, they would offer it on virtually all planes/routes.

The Continental 777's have 2 genuine steam expresso machines, it was distressing, however, to have my espresso served in a little styrofoam cup!

Paul- Maybe they thought you'd said "...to go please!" instead of Thank you please!!! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif No plastic lid though, right? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
