Advice, please: Victoria, B.C. in May
In addition to KenHammer's suggestions at http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum94/HTML/000236.html, does anyone else have other ideas about food and lodging? (The maternal unit and I are heading there for her birthday excursion ...)

I got a lot of info from the Canadian Tourist site a couple of years back. Don't remeber the site so recommend trying a word search on something like Yahoo. Don't miss the gardens-great that time of year. We stayed a a B&B outside of town and enjoyed it very much. We woke up to sheep baying and a rooster crowing and watched shipping pass in the straits.

Thanks, flyguy. If you remember the name of the B-n-B, please post again. It's the insider info that I'm fishing for here.

Sounds a bit like the Sooke Harbour House. 800-889-9688. Great views, amazing food. Not cheap!

There are many B&B's North of Sooke and most are very nice. The only draw back is you are a 45 minute drive out of town. If you want to do outside things (Hike the West Coast trail, do the Sooke Pot holes, or Botonical Beach), Sooke makes a great headquarters. If you want to do the downtown thing, stay in Victoria.
