Tips on a complaint letter
Hi,
Any tips/samples for writing a complaint letter? I was booked on an X airlines flight which was operated by Y Airlines, and I found the service to be way below expectations. I don't want to go into specifics, but it wasn't anything like a rude FA etc which isn't that rare. Should I expect the service to be of a standard of X airlines? Any help? goodo [This message has been edited by goodo (edited 03-05-2000).] |
Best analogy I've heard to date: Codesharing is like pushing the Coke button on the vending machine and getting a Pepsi.
I doubt you'll have any luck. I recently flew HP on a codeshare from CO. Nowhere NEAR the level of service. Next time, I'll just look at the flight numbers a little closer (that's one possible tipoff - an unusual flight number may signify a different carrier). Example: A CO Flight # in the 8000 range indicates NW (CO Flight 8221 is NW 221). ------------------ "I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own." |
I have had great success lately with BRIEF (as brief as I can be), objective letters which express my complaint, talk about how I am given leeway to plan my own travel and pick my own airlines, give my miles flown in the past year and then ask for very specific satisfaction - - - $$ (if incurred) or miles if I was just disappointed with the service
and intend to fly that line again. Good luck!! |
