Hubs

Hi,

Can anyone tell the hubs for AC, CP, UA and AA?

Thanks

UA's US hubs: ORD, SFO, DEN, IAD, LAX
UA's non-US gateway cities: LHR, NRT
UA also has a somewhat strong presence in SEA, MIA and JFK...

The new AC/CP will have YVR, YYZ and YUL as hubs within Canada.

And AA's hubs (from a non-AA flyer's point of view:
DFW, ORD, MIA.

Large operations also in JFK and BOS. The above post states that UA claims to have a hub at LHR. If that's the case, AA can too.

AA's only other official hub is SJU. I hear LAX will be baptised as a hub shortly. They offer int'l connecting complexes or mini-hubs at JFK, SJC, and SEA.

PS to the Hubbers: I wrote a 4-page report on the hub and spoke system. I am going to be submitting it to Northwestern for an honors research program. I'd be happy to send it to anyone willing to take the time to offer constructive criticism. EMail me: [email protected]

Leroy: I didn't say LHR was a UA hub. It is not. I called it a non-us gateway. My point is that there are many UA flight #s (whether they are UA planes or not) that connect out of LHR to the rest of europe (to hook up with the flights coming nonstop from all of the US hubs minus DEN but plus JFK). The same used to apply to FRA, but apparantly due to *A pressure, more and more of those LH flights are no longer carrying UA flight #s http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif...

Similar in NRT, but there are also actual UA aircraft going onward from NRT to BKK, PEK, SEL, HKG, SIN, etc.

Derek: maybe this would make an interesting appendix to your paper http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
