SEA to MCO - help/advice needed
Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I wasn't sure where to ask this question (I'm new at posting, though I've been reading for a while). I am a semi-frequent leisure flyer who is going become a semi-frequent (not sure how frequent yet) business flyer starting next month. I need to go from SEA to MCO. I was hoping for some suggestions on which airlines are better on this route, which are easier to upgrade, any suggestions on routing to avoid (they seem to connect through a lot of different cities), etc. I have miles on UA and AA, and I am MVP on AS (who doesn't fly on this route obviously, but is partners with AA, CO, NW, and TWA, who all fly on this route. My dad is 1K on UA and will probably upgrade me (not sure if he can use certs or if he has to use miles) but I'm nervous about the availability since I'm not even Premier on UA. Any suggestions and/or help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Karen R |
You should not have any trouble finding flights on United that you can upgrade with miles or 1K confirmable certs (they are transferable) from SEA-MCO. Your status with United won't hurt you as long as the upgrade space is available and you claim it at the time of the reservation. Make sure you reserve flights with upgrade space available before you buy the ticket. Just tell the agent that you want to reserve flights that have space available on all four segments to upgrade. Since UA has 767s and 757s on that route, it should not be hard to find them as long as you are planning a little in advance.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out! |
