USA-Japan $199 RT

BSL posted this tip on the Continental board; I thought it might be of more general interest. Here's the link: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum20/HTML/000575.html

How many miles is it each way?

------------------
50 cents an hour not a big Advantage?
Be paid $20-$120 an hour with BePaid.

Depends on where you are flying from. There's a mileage calculator at Continental's website.

P.S. Hope the info. I sent you by e-mail was received and useful.

Consider that with the blackout dates, unless you have a friend or family to stay with, you have to find a hotel room to stay for 3-4 nights. (Well, except if you're willing to depart December 31, and fly right back January 1. But then you'd have to be in the air at 11:59:59pm 31 December 1999, and on an international flight to boot....)

Thanks dgolds and bsl for posting this. I just booked it for myself and three friends. (At this price it was easy to find willing travel companions.) Should be a great way to start the year!

Just got off the phone with Continental. The agent was very surprised I got the special. He said availability was so limited and they had so many people calling up angry, that they pulled the promo info from the website.
