How up to date is Trip.com as far as the number of seats already taken? Anyone know?

I believe that trip.com gets its seating charts from ITN. Not to long ago I called American Airlines customer service to change my seat on a certain flight, and that change was in the system within 5 minutes. It looks like it's very up to date.
