Seattle Restaurants/Motel Info

Hi,

I'm off to Seattle next month to help my friend move to Univeristy District. Any recommendation for inexpensive restaurants in the area? And where I can find inexpensive motels around $50-70/night near the area?

Thanx in advance!

I'd hoped someone more able would respond, but since they haven't let me say this is a tough one. We're talking real good price at at time when all the students are returning and freshman with parents etc are coming, so early booking is the key here and it's late for that, as you know.

The places you might try (80.) are the:
University Inn
University Plaza
And the probably/certainly cheaper:
University Motel (just off the Interstate)

Another alternative is to try something not so near the University area like a Travelodge, Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, or a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. Check the websites for Marriot and/or Choice hotels.

There's lots of decent, fast food etc near the University if you're on a tight budget and the Seattle restaurants have been discussed, I believe, in other recent threads.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip!
