I'll be in DC too, and currently planning to stay in Alexandria at the Sheraton Suites. Any good restaurants in Old Town Alexandria?
|
Among the ones I tried:
Bilbo Baggins - American/continental it has very extensive collection of wines for those who care http://www.transmediacard.com/MoreInfo.cfm?Code=902598 RT's - seafood http://www.washingtonian.com/dining/Profiles/RTs.html Le Gaulois - French http://www.washingtonian.com/dining/.../LeGauloi.html For additional info check Washingtonian magazine's dining pages for its top 100 and top cheap 100 restaurants. http://www.washingtonian.com/dining/default.asp Enjoy your stay in Alexandria! Old Town Alexandria is one of my favorite neigborhoods in Washington metro area. ------------------ Dan |
QuietLion, I live in Old Town, Alexandria. Let me know when you will be here and I'd be glad to meet you. E-mail or post here. There are too many dining options to list so if you give me an idea of what types of food you prefer (and how much you like to spend for it...) I am sure I can steer you in the right direction... Cheers. -Geo

Aww, geez, geo, my office is on Duke street right between Patrick and Henry streets. We should get together for lunch some time...
|
Matt: I live on Oronoco between Patrick and Henry. Six blocks north. Small world syndrome strikes again... Lunch, drinks, anytime.

I thank all of you!
We ate at the Red Sage and at Kinkeads. we enjoyed both of them very much. Even tried the ostrich at Red Sage and it was very good. It was my first time eating ostrich! It's a pity I only had two days in the US capital! |
Dilbert: thanks for the great leads. Geo and Matt, I've emailed you with our schedule. I hope we can get together.
