The CAT bites teh Bullet
It's not about weapontry, it's about something many of you have and I finally got.
A membership in the United Airlines Red Carpet Club. My buddy Wanderlust said joining R-C-C recently was an excellent move when his flight was cancelled otu of Denver and he had a LONG layover so he could redux ticket at the R-C-C and then relax in relative quiet. So at LaGuardia he told me "AW Come ON Catman, do it." AnnaS also made excellent arguments for it. So did several of you and several of my FF friends. So I signed up and in 6 weeks will get the card. Figure the amount will save me on frustration and doctor's bills in the long run. Plus I have Priority Pass so everything's taken care off. ------------------ MEOW! MEOW! MEOW!!! |
Welcome to the club (literally)! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
It took me travelling over a year before I, too, bit the bullet & bought a membership. It ended up paying for itself many times over by avoiding loooong check-in line in BOS (the RCC in BOS is outside security) and made my layovers at IAD palatable for the 2 months I did it. Besides, $250 is a darn sight better than $400, use that status! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ------------------ Regards, - Anna |

Ah, the joys of living in Canada. AC and CP just give lounge memberships to the top two tiers of their FF programs. Maybe all you south of 49 should start lobbying for the same perks.

UA gives free RCC to 1K's in Europe.
LH's Senator Lounge (and/or business-lounges) is free for Senators. SR lounges (includes DL Crown lounges and the Lounges of all Qualiflyer-member-airlines) are free for Qualiflyer-Travel-club-members. [This message has been edited by Rudi (edited 07-06-1999).] |

I'll keep an eye out for cathair covered sofas on my next visit to a RCC! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Thanks Rudi- it seems to casual unknowing observers like myself that the Europeans get a better break on Lounge access priviledges than we Americans do! But I don't feel like an object of someones predjudice!

Well, Yaz & Eddie are like "children" so they can accompany as my family guests! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

OMNI: I know you are all kidding but let's be NICE MICE to everyone. I have NOT met John goldwater AuH20 yet so I can't form an opinion.
But he has to be a nice guy considering he's part of the nicest bunch of people on the Internet! http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif ------------------ MEOW! MEOW! MEOW!!! |
Catman, trust me. He is the Party Animal of FlyerTalk (although Beckles just might give him a run for the money)!
