Taxis in Oslo
 

When going to the airport in Oslo by taxi, ask for an airport taxi (=fixed price ca. 50$). Other taxis cost twice as much.

You are from MUC - This is my story: I was living in Hamburg and had my office in Starnberg. I needed twice a week a taxi from the (old) airport to/from Starnberg. I never had a taxi driver who could speak fluent German, and never had a taxi driver who was knowing the way in and out of Munich, never. I had to tell them how and where to go: Mittlerer Ring, Autobahn A- so-und-so ...

I always could obtain nice lower rates to/from the airport from the train station rather than from my hotel. Usually I walked from the hotel to the train station (loved the walk) , but occasionally I took a taxi to it, and another taxi to the airport. I never knew why. Maybe this is the answer.
