Minor Hotel Pet Peeve
Why is the labeling on hotel bathroom amenities, e.g. shampoo, lotion, etc., so small that I have to retreat to the bedroom for my glasses? Are hotel market research experts monitoring this board?

I will NEVER forget the time I was in the Sheraton in HK & picked up what I thought to be (without my glasses) a bottle of mouthwash--bright kelly green & took a big swig. Yep...it was shampoo!!! I practically brushed the enamel off my teeth trying to get the taste out of my mouth. No, I didn't have bubbles coming out of my mouth all day like in the cartoons but it sure tasted like it.Yuck!

I'm pretty much blind as a bat without my glasses, and will be getting my first bifocals in a couple of weeks, but so far, no problem reading the small bottles.
OTOH, there's not much room on those small bottles for BIG lettering? |
The mouthwash also makes a terrible shampoo.

Corky ROFL! Hope this won't happen again!
My minor Pet Peeve is the beds, why is there a blanket underneath the sheets? And it moves all over the place! I like my bed to be smooth! |
Yech. I can only imagine the feeling and nasty taste of that most unfortunate mistake. At first I wondered how this could really come about, but then over the last few days I stayed at the Renaissance Washington DC. They had little bottles of I think Bath and Body Works stuff. And darned if the labeling of what it is (shampoo, conditioner, etc.) wasn't pretty small. And the shampoo was indeed a bright see-through green resembling mouthwash! I did, however, manage to refrain from drinking it. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif
