Best Las Vegas Spas
Hello all,
I am going to be in Las Vegas next week and I'm looking for advice on the best spa experience. We already have an appt at the Canyon Ranch at the Venetian, but are also wondering about the spa at Caeser's, MGM, and Paris. I am treating my spouse for something uber-relaxing and plush. Any advice about if any of these spas fit the bill? Thanks for your help and recommendations! |
Welcome to FT.
I too am going to be in Vegas next week, can't wait! Anyway, there is a forum dedicated to travel questions for Vegas, which you can find by scrolling further down the page. There is a greatthread currently going on all types of discount opportunities. Welcome again! Thumper |
I've always been partial to the spa at Treasure Island. The women's side is elegant, with every amenity and great ice-cold drinks. The sauna and steam rooms are very nice, adjacent whirlpools are private and quiet. The beauty salon is in the same aream, they give excellent manicures and pedicures there.
TI's prices are more reasonable than the Venetian's spa. Last trip we stayed at Venetian and I used the spa at TI. I wasn't all that impressed with the Canyon Ranch spa setup and their staff was not at all friendly when I stopped by to pick up a rate card. However, there is a spa shop in the main Canal shops area at the Venetian with great merchandise and all at 50% off when I was there. Worth checking out if you like aromatherapy items, new age CDs, robes, etc. Call in advance of your trip to schedule spa appointments. Most of the hotels have websites and feature pictures of their spas. These might help you decide. |
MGM's spa is my favorite. It is classier than the Venetian's and has treadmills with Internet access for reading FlyerTalk. The men's Jacuzzi is large, hot, and ferocious, and the eucalyptus steam room is kept one degree below par-boil. Put some cucumber slices over your eyes and an ice-cold towel over your head, then use the hot shaving cream and complimentary Gilette twin-blade disposable for the best shave of your life.
They provide gym clothes and robes. Munch on a dried apricot and watch CNN while waiting for your massage and pedicure in the private lounge with Tiger Woods. Ahhhhhh. |
Thanks for your comments! I have heard good things about Treasure Island and the MGM. QuietLion, did you happen to check out or see the "Zen" room at the MGM spa? And, has anyone used the spa at Caeser's Palace?
Finally, any ideas about how to get coupons to reduce costs at some of these spas? Again, thanks for your help! |
Hunnybear says the Treasure Island spa is nice but not as nice as MGM's, which she also considers the best. Neither of us has heard of the Zen room.
