Adventure Racing question
 

Does anyone know where I can get some info re adventure racing for beginners? There was an article in the travel section of the Washington Post last Sunday, but am looking for more info. thx tls

I have a friend who has done the eco-challenges in New Zealand, Nepal and I don't know where all else. His idea of fun is running 100 miles before work. Anyway ... I can put you in touch with him via email if you'd like. I'm sure he'd be happy to answer any questions.

There is a ton of info available regarding 'local' races, challenges, etc. at both REI and the Patagonia store in DC. See their magazine and community posting sections.

I think I will try REI and Patagonia first and see what sort of results they bring. Letiole: I'll hold off on contacting your friend, pending the results of the REI and Patagonia search (and after all, what's short 100 mile jog before work ...). Thanks to both of you for your responses. tls
