Recommendations for travel blanket
I'm looking for a travel blanket that:
--folds small enough to fit in outside pocket of carryon (most of the time it's a 16" Travelpro)
--is machine washable & dryable
--costs less than $50, preferably closer to $25
Any brand recommendations?

Here is one privately branded for travel packing expert Anne McAlpin http://www.travelessentials.com/depa...501050024.html it is only 29.95 and can be used as a towel and blanket. This website has a no questions asked return policy as well if you dont like it. I am not sure if it will fit in the 16" carryon I use a 22".

I use a polartec throw from Lands End. I roll it up tightly and throw it into my carry-on tote bag. It fits two of your three requirements: machine washable, only $29, but I'm not sure it would fit in the outside pocket of a carry-on.

I love brookstone's nap blanket (have the matching pillow also). It meets all your requirements, but is on the higher end of your price range... http://www.brookstone.com/shop/produ...=A_BNR*SUB*NAP

I use a pashmina wrap that will roll tightly and I fit it in the outside pockets of my bags. I paid about $10 in Turkey and I hand wash it. However, look at the department stores in the women's accessory department -even places like Target. It's likely to be acrylic instead of cashmere but machine washable and small enough to fit anywhere.

Here's a second vote for the Brookstone NAP blanket. Liked my daughters so much I stole it and told her mom to get her another one.
