Can anyone tell me what kind of plane this is?
Sorry, I don't know where else to post and I didn't see a general aviation forum? It's a plane that used to fly supplies and mail into North Bass Island in Lake Erie. My family used to have a winery and grew grapes there. I remember it as a kid - but the photo is older than I am. If anyone can direct me where to re-post it that would be great - thanks!

Definitely not a JU 52 ... the photo depicts a high-winged craft, and the JU 52 is a low-wing design.
Looks more like a Ford Trimotor -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Trimotor

Propellers looks like there were Hamilton Standard (logo seems to match) and if so, the engines were probably Pratt & Whitney.
FWIW, the other 3-engine a/c of the era was the Fokker F VII and F10 but the corrugated metal siding would eliminate that..

I was at EAA in 2019 and 2022 at an event at the Oshkosh Corporation's hangar and a Trimotor was parked inside both times. I wanted to go for a ride in it; waited too long to decide in 2019 and decided to do the B-17 ride for 2022.

Thanks SO much! I went to the Wiki page and it even mentioned ISLAND AIRWAYS - Bass Islands, Ohio. That's IT!!! The memory is quite hazy - the early 60's and I would have been under 10 years old. Not even sure if we flew there or took a ferry but I do remember meeting the plane for mail/groceries. Can't thank you enough . . . . Another part of my family's story found!
PS. Thanks EAJuggalo for the link to the photos! Wow, those 3 engines with propellers spinning - what a cool site. Not sure about the seating - curtains?? And wood paneling? Very cool. I do remember the oval door because they would pass cardboard boxes full of groceries with our name on it out that door.

Old Timer's Airline Quiz and Discussion. - FlyerTalk Forums
This thread would be a great read, and there are many participants who have great knowledge about different types of planes flown by many different airlines, even those that are now defunct. You can participate, as well as just lurk.
