I was sharing this with my wife tonight, trying to figure out what happened. Thrown out of the airplane from 30 K feet then set on fire for a moment, then run over by a large truck is what we concluded.

I'm guessing it got stuck in one of the belts somewhere.

Ran over then wedged in the wheel well against the tire (or against the tarmac) as the baggage cart drove a mile....
Or, as AA baggage claim would say "just normal wear and tear" |
