I was in 2F yesterday morning on an AA 319 GRR-DFW. After rotation I looked outside to see this crazy crash. You can see me looking for the flight attendant button at the 0:24 mark

About 15 years ago, I was piloting an Air Force aircraft that had an in-flight emergency. The local news helicopter filmed our approach and (safe) landing.

You should probably keep that on your bucket list. Unless AA unveiled a new color scheme: navy tail and underbelly on a white fuselage.... just like every other Delta plane... LMAO

Seriously? I know I have cataract surgery scheduled in a few weeks. Perhaps this one of the reasons.

I would have sworn that was my AA 319.

Sorry folks.

Roughly 40 years ago, stepping off a Conair B720 arriving from a couple of weeks vacation on Rhodos with my parents, was met by news crew filming our arrival and asking (in my dads opinion) the dumbest of questions. Reason being was that Greece and Turkey had one of their usual spats, resulting in the latter invading Cyprus. Since journalists by and large are dumber than a bag of wet crickets, they were somehow of the impression that tourists on a Greek island several hundred kilometres away had been adversely affected and thus must have been terrified. Family have since told me that my (at the time) charming mug had made it to the evening news, whereas the returning tourists response to the questions presented had not. I suppose their answers had been very much like those my father gave, which were along the lines of "we've had a marvellous vacation, nothing more or less".

I've successfully managed to stay well clear of journalists ever since.

I was on the last DL MD-88 flight from SRQ-ATL back in June. I think some video ended up on the local Tampa Bay Area news.

I was on the special 77W flight (AA12) from San Diego to New York JFK on 8/4/2013 in seat 1D. I tried to snag 1A but it was not available . Video similar to the following was shown on several San Diego TV channels.

Were you trying to call the FA to request your Hudson News nuts to be warmed up?

As this is topic does not pertain to AA nor the AAdvantage program, we will move this to TravelBuzz for more general discussion. Thanks. /JY1024, AAdvantage and TravelBuzz moderator

Beats me - all I remember at GRR is the Founders bar, and I'm surprised I remember that!

In Europe your chances of being on a flight that subsequently is on TV are greatly enhanced by flying with Ryanair or Easyjet or one of the other LCCs where the inevitable drunk, rowdy holidaymaker causes a 'scene' and footage ends up on the news
