What color? Might want to wear a nice pair of fur lined loafers and some satin pants. Sun glasses are also an acceptable accessory.

Whether day ..... evening ..... or night ........ do be sure to make yourself known to ground staff in advance, and they can check that your allocated seat has actually been cleaned for the big occasion. Leftover crumbs and your velvet jacket just wouldn't be a good look

I suspect the reactions will be the same, regardless of time of day.

I also somehow suspect this was more meaningful in the BA Forum.
